Unconditional Love and the Heart of a Pursuing Parent
Reading this title may have led you to the conclusion that this is a session about how we should love our children unconditionally when they are acting ugly. Not exactly. Rather, this is a message about how God the Father loves us unconditionally when we are acting ugly.
We are not the parents we once dreamed we’d be. We know how we should respond to our kids and fail to do so time and time again. We resolve to do better next time but find ourselves returning to the same old places. One of the reasons we find it difficult to wholeheartedly love our children unconditionally when they do the things they do is because we are not experiencing the unconditional love that God offers to us when we do the things we do.
