Connected Parenting
We will be once again offer the book study on The Connected Child by Dr. Karen Purvis. We will also be watching her DVD’s. We will watch the Trust based parenting DVD and then work our way through the rest of her DVD’s. The book and the DVD’s give such practical help to families as they help their children from hard places adjust and attach. Children from hard places includes: those adopted, in foster care, children in NICU after birth, children hospitalized for part of their early childhood or exposed to a stressful pregnancy. It is over all just a great resource to use when original parenting techniques may not be reaching a certain child.
This would also be helpful to teachers or therapists who are working with these children.
